The Makahiki Games Festival {Authentic Hawaiian Olympic Games…Team Challenge}
The Hawaiians have always been a highly competitive and skillful people. For hundreds of years they have played at physical, as well as mentally challenging games of skill. The “Makahiki Festival”, similar to our summer Olympics, drew thousands upon thousands of people from all of the neighbor islands. In order for the Hawaiians to reach the island where the “Festival of Games” was taking place, they had to paddle their outrigger canoes, with family on board, thru the dangerous ocean channels separating the Islands. Many of these tribal members were warriors and the competitors in the games, but thousands came as spectators, preparing to cheer on their heroic island athletes. So come and join us, as your teams of warrior athletes prepare to participate in the ancient “Makahiki Games Festival”
